Educational Visit to the High Court of Delhi
Students of the B.A. LL.B. and LL.B. programmes at Ishan Institute of Law visited the High Court of Delhi on 24 August 2026 as part of an educational visit aimed at connecting classroom learning with the actual working of the judicial system. The visit gave students a chance to see firsthand how a constitutional court functions, moving beyond what textbooks and lectures can offer.
During the visit, students observed live court proceedings, gaining a closer understanding of how cases are presented and argued before the Bench. Watching arguments unfold in real time, seeing the flow of questioning and the pace of proceedings, made concepts around case presentation and courtroom strategy far more tangible than any classroom discussion could.
Being present in the court environment also left a mark in subtler ways. Students came away with a sharper sense of court decorum, the professional conduct expected of advocates, and the seriousness that judicial proceedings demand — lessons that go well beyond legal theory.
For many students, this was a valuable academic experience and their first close encounter with a functioning courtroom, offering practical exposure to the legal profession and a grounded understanding of how the judicial process actually works.
