Ishan Institute of Law Takes the Win
Students of Ishan Institute of Law participated in the Inter-College Law Moot Court Competition held at IME Law College on 9 April 2026. The competition gave students an opportunity to apply their legal knowledge in a simulated courtroom setting and develop practical skills in legal research, argumentation and advocacy.
The Ishan Institute of Law team emerged as the Winner of the competition. The winning team comprised Riya Kumari as the First Speaker, Kashish Khan as the Second Speaker, Enamul Hassan as the Researcher and Afzal as the Proxy. Their performance reflected focused preparation, teamwork and confidence in presenting their legal arguments.
Moot court competitions provide law students with valuable exposure to the practical side of the profession. Preparing for such competitions requires students to study legal provisions, analyse the facts of a case, conduct detailed research and structure their arguments effectively. Presenting before a panel further helps them develop confidence, clarity of expression and the ability to respond to questions under pressure.
The competition was attended by Hon’ble Mr. H.N.S. Sanger, Retired Additional District Judge, as the Chief Guest. Prof. H. P. Gupta and Dr. Poonam Khanna, Principal, were also part of the academic proceedings.
The victory was a proud achievement for Ishan Institute of Law and recognised the students’ efforts towards developing their legal and advocacy skills alongside their academic learning.
