Jail Visit

Ishan Institute of Law organized a jail visit on 15th October 2024 as part of its practical legal education program. The visit aimed to give students first-hand exposure to the criminal justice system, focusing on the conditions, legal procedures, and challenges faced by inmates. This experiential learning opportunity allowed law students to understand the realities of prison life, the rights of prisoners, and the functioning of correctional facilities. Prison is such a place where the laws are strictly implemented, and this place gives student the knowledge and information of duties of police officials in executing the laws which are mentioned in Jail Manual. It is a most important component of criminal justice system.
