About the Programme
Ishan Institute of Law organised an educational visit to the Supreme Court of India on 23rd July 2024. This visit aimed to provide law students with firsthand experience of the functioning of the highest judicial forum and constitutional court in the country. Aligned with the institute’s vision of producing well-informed and professionally competent law graduates, the visit focused on helping students understand the Supreme Court vital role in dispensing justice across a wide range of cases.
Students gained insight into the duties of Advocates on Record in handling appeals and writs, procedural aspects of cases in the Supreme Court, and the management of cases by justices and Advocates on Record. Furthermore, the visit highlighted the important relationship between the Bar and the Bench, offering a comprehensive view of judicial processes and courtroom dynamics at the apex level.
