Ishan Institute of Law celebrated Gandhi Jayanti with a series of meaningful activities aimed at encouraging students to understand and practice the values associated with Mahatma Gandhi. The celebration focused on ideas of truth, non-violence, cleanliness, social responsibility, and active participation in the community.
The programme included a Poster Making and Slogan Writing Competition, where students expressed their thoughts creatively through impactful messages and artwork inspired by Gandhian values. The activity provided students with an opportunity to reflect on how principles such as truth, peace, and responsibility remain relevant in contemporary society.
A Cleanliness Drive was also organised to promote awareness about cleanliness and personal as well as public responsibility. Students actively participated in the initiative and understood that maintaining a clean environment is not merely a civic duty but also a reflection of responsible citizenship.
The celebration further featured a Nukkad Natak, through which students presented social messages in an engaging and relatable manner. The performance highlighted the importance of responsible behaviour, social awareness, and collective action.
The activities made the celebration interactive and purposeful, giving students an opportunity to learn beyond the classroom. The event successfully encouraged them to connect Gandhian ideals with their everyday responsibilities as students, citizens, and future legal professionals.
