National Lok Adalat – September 2026

Ishan Institute of Law will be participating in the National Lok Adalat scheduled on 12 September 2026. Lok Adalats are an important mechanism under the Legal Services Authorities Act that provide an accessible platform for alternative dispute resolution. Participation in such events gives law students direct exposure to the working of the ADR system and helps them understand how disputes are resolved outside of traditional courtroom proceedings.
About National Lok Adalat
- National Lok Adalats are organised by the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) across the country on a single day.
- They provide a forum for settlement of pending cases as well as pre-litigation matters.
- Awards passed by Lok Adalats are deemed decrees of a civil court and are final and binding.
- Participation gives students practical understanding of alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.
