The department of Agad Tantra Evum Vidhi Vaidyaka deals with Toxicology, forensic medicine and medical jurisprudence. Agad Tantra is one of the eight branches of ayurveda as described in the ancient treatises. It deals with properties, effects and management of animal and plant poison. There is detailed description of Agadas
which are used since human history.
The department consists of a full-fledged museum exhibiting specimens, charts, models & weapons showcasing significant faces of medical jurisprudence, forensic medicine and toxicology. The department also offers scholastic inputs to the second year undergraduate B.A.M.S. students in the concerned subject of Agad Tantra

Agad Tantra Evum Vidhi Vaidyaka is an integral part of ayurveda, which deals methodically about the study of characters and treatment of toxic substance of different sources and also study of accidental death, suicides, poisoning etc. in connection with forensic medicines. It deals the study of various laws related to
medical sciences and applications. In addition to this, the subject also deals with various natural and artificial toxic substances and poisons. A comprehensive explanation of antidotes, signs and symptoms and legal aspects of medical ethics and standards.
The central objective of this department is to generate skilled legal medical practitioners and to bring about law and medicine together that will prepare medical students for their medical, legal and social duties in medical profession and improve their overall professional growth.
